Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

According to the survey produced by the American Chamber of Commerce in China, 51% of members were concerned about disintegrating bilateral ties between the U.S. and China, even as 87% still see constructive bilateral ties as being integral to their operations in China.

While more than half of respondents said China still remains a key investment destination, 21% of survey respondents no longer view the country as a preferred investment destination.

Thirty-two percent of respondents also felt they were being treated unequally compared with local enterprises, particularly within the technology and research and development sectors, the group said.

"Regulatory challenges remain a significant concern, with uneven regulatory enforcement, unclear legal frameworks, and compliance risks ranking high among member challenges," the group said in the document's executive summary.

The group says it has been conducting business environment surveys for over 25 years. It said the current survey is the 27th annual edition.
