Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.
Beijing had been investigating PVH, which owns Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger and other major fashion retailers, for taking “discriminatory measures” against products from China’s Xinjiang region (see 2409240003).
PVH was “surprised and deeply disappointed to learn” that it had been added to the list, the spokesperson said. “In our 20 years of operating in China and proudly serving our consumers, as a matter of policy, PVH maintains strict compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and operates in line with established industry standards and practices.” The spokesperson added that PVH “will continue our engagement with relevant authorities and look forward to a positive resolution.”
The addition of PVH to the unreliable entity list blocks it from participating in certain import and export activities in China.
