Hurley would oversee the Office of Foreign Assets Control and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, among other agencies. He would replace Biden administration official Brian Nelson, who left in August to join then-Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign (see 2408140005).

DiNanno, a Hudson Institute adjunct fellow and former State Department official, would oversee defense exports, replacing Biden administration official Bonnie Jenkins. Jenkins left the State Department at the end of December, according to the agency.

The Hurley and DiNanno nominations were referred to the Senate Banking and Foreign Relations committees, respectively.
