Export Compliance Daily combines U.S. export control news, foreign border import regulation and policy developments into a single daily information service that reliably informs its trade professional readers about important current issues affecting their operations.

If confirmed by the Senate, Heid would oversee efforts to control exports of dual-use-items. He would replace Biden administration official Thea Kendler, who left BIS last month. Heid’s nomination was referred to the Senate Banking Committee.

Heid has worked on “tech policy” for the House Select Committee on China for the past two years, his LinkedIn profile says. He previously worked in the State Department’s Office of China Coordination, also known as the China House.
